We investigate the Ecology and Biogeography of Marine Rocky Shores, including these themes:
• Ecological benthic-pelagic coupling along the Atlantic Canadian coast
• Intertidal biogeography of the Atlantic Canadian coast
• Oceanology and upwelling along the Nova Scotia coast
• Nonconsumptive effects of invertebrate predators on barnacle and mussel demography
• Algae and mussels as foundation species
• Phenotypic plasticity in seaweed-herbivore systems
• Environmental stress as a predictor of species biodiversity
• Spatial scales of variation in biological communities
• Ecological effects of intertidal sea ice
• Epiphyte-host interactions in macroalgal beds
• Population dynamics of clonal and unitary seaweeds
• Abundance of life-history phases in red algae
